Description
Alamos crafts quality wines from Argentina, offering the best of Mendoza’s high altitude vineyards at an incredible value. Alamos grapes are grown at the foothills of the Andes Mountains at elevations of 3,000 to 5,000 feet, where intense sunlight, cool evening temperatures and mineral-rich irrigation from mountain snowmelt translate to rich wines with intense flavour characteristics.
Chardonnay vines experience intense sunlight days and very cool and crisp nights, a sizeable temperature shift that preserves the fruit’s incredible acidity while still giving us full, ripe flavours. The result is a lush, complex, food-friendly Chardonnay that features tropical and citrus notes and a refreshing palate, with added weight from partial malolactic fermentation and subtle oak aging. Its balance of richness and acidity is one of Argentina’s unique hallmarks.
