Description
Arguably the most sought after producer in Beaujolais today, Marcel Lapierre led the return to using the “old methods” starting with old vines, never using synthetic herbicides or pesticides, harvesting late, rigorously sorting to remove all but the healthiest grapes, adding minimal doses of sulphur dioxide or none at all. Made using 100% Gamay Noir and only semi carbonic maceration. The nose is raspberry and summer berry fruit which carry through to the palate, along with cranberries and cherry fruit. Great acidity and light bodied red. 12.5% ABV. Perfect with salads, white meat and fish.”
