Description
Quite meaning ‘Support, Rescue, Defence’. This is made from 100% Mencia. 80 year old vines. This wine is aged for 8 months, 50% in used oak barrels, and the other 50% in 800-litre clay vessels. Veronica is a natural wine producer, all of the vineyards are organic and her wine making is natural with no stabilisation or fining. Mencia is a grape reminiscent of both Pinot Noir and northern Rhone Syrah. Savoury red berry palate and spice, light to medium bodied red that works best with roasted red meats, salads and white meat and fish. One of Spain’s top female wine makers. This red sees 50% oak and 50% clay pot ageing.
