Fermented and aged in stainless steel, fresh, vibrant, and full of minerality. Aromatic on the nose, this wine offers grapefruit and stone fruits with a hint of caraway. On the palate, spicy yuzu persists in a long finish.
Dominique Crochet is a younger (only two generations here) estate in the village of Crezancy, on the limestone belt a few miles south of Sancerre village. The Crochet name goes way back in Sancerre but this more recent iteration emanates from a mere 6-hectares; a single plot of south-facing home grown Sauvignon Blanc planted in limestone-rich terrors. Fully expressive Sancerre is rendered from these grapes processed in a winery built inside a garage. Not surprisingly, the production is modest
