The Hermit is 100% Syrah from their favorite vineyards. They named The Hermit after the man that loaned his nickname to the regions most famous appellation. Bottles unfined and unfiltered this wine will produce sediment as it ages. Decanting is recommended. Iron, green peppercorn, black pepper, black olives, bittersweet chocolate, black cherry and sweet plums dominate the aromas of this classic expression of Syrah. The flavors follow the complex aromas and highlight the fantastic balance of the 2016 vintage.
