Boann Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey PX Cask (700ml, 47% ABV) is frequently characterized as a "Sherry Bomb," a profile achieved by initially maturing the spirit in Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads before finishing it in rare, 60-year-old vintage Pedro Ximénez (PX) Solera casks.
The whiskey has a rich, syrupy mouthfeel that balances sweetness and savory elements. Key tasting notes include honey, dark chocolate, walnut, and dried fruits like dates or black cherries, with a prickle of cracked white pepper and baking spices like cinnamon and clove.
