A beautifully rounded and expressive Chardonnay from the southern Mâconnais. The nose is wonderfully aromatic, showing ripe peach, apricot, citrus and white flowers, with subtle vanilla and toasted notes from oak. The palate is rich and supple, with creamy texture and generous ripe fruit balanced by bright acidity and a fresh, lingering finish.
Maison Auvigue has a long history in the Mâconnais, beginning in 1946 when Francis Auvigue and three fellow growers established a small négociant specialising in Pouilly-Fuissé. His grandsons Jean-Pierre and Michel later expanded the business into other Mâconnais appellations.
