This is NOT Verdejo as you know it!
The winery is located in Rueda, owned by a French Man who fell in love with the Verdejo grape and this region of Spain.
He had a vision beyond the traditional style of Verdejo and felt that the grape had the potential to mimic elegant white wine regions such as Burgundy!
This wine is a treat and we receive it in tiny quantities so move fast!
Aged for up to 10 months in both new and second French oak.
It’s 95% Verdejo with a 5% blend of… not specified!
This is a full bodied white, beyond the toasted oak, there’s lots of fleshy peach and nectarine that gives way to tangerine peal and fresh herbs, lots of minerality on the finish.
14% ABV
Great with strong white cheese, goats cheese and heavy cream based dishes.
This is a beauty!
