Description
Chateau Vieux Potana is a family-owned property in Lalande-de-Pomerol, right at the border of the Pomerol. The soil is mostly clay and gravelly, similar to Pomerol. The vines are 35 years of age.
Deep ruby color in the glass. The nose is of stewed dark fruits layered with
green bell pepper and black olive. On the palate, notes of crunchy red fruits,
dried cherry and plum, graphite and sweet pipe tobacco. A great combination
of power and elegance; the finish is long and seductive with fine tannins.
