Description
Created in 1892, the Domaine du Vieux Pressoir and its Saumur and Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame appellation vineyards are located in the commune of Vaudelnay, a winegrowing village between Doué la Fontaine and Montreuil-Bellay, 30 km from Saumur.
An exceptional terroir, a know-how combining heritage and modernity, for wines with unique character
The vines are 25 to 30 years old, and located on a Jurassic Terroir . The vines are completely grassed over.
The very ripe grapes give this wine a superb supple and round body. On the palate, the barrel ageing brings toasted and vanilla notes. They are fully associated with the fruitiness of the wine.
Direct pressing. Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, in 225 and 400 L barrels for 9 to 10 months. Bottling takes place in September following the harvest.
