This Toscana IGT is a Sangiovese, Merlot with a small proportion of Petit Verdot blend, aged in American oak barrels for 10 months.
Nose: Traditional Sangiovese nose, incense and dark bramble fruit, vanilla and spice.
Palate: Fresh red berry fruit – cranberry and blackberry, clean, elegant acidity with some well integrated silky tannins. Requires Decanting, an hour if possible and this opens up to darker riper fruit profile with vanilla and spice.
Food pairings: Cold cut meats, pasta and pizza, tomato based sauces.
