Description
Taylor’s Very Very Old Tawny Port blend is one of the oldest wines released to date. It is made from a selection of rare lots matured in wood in Taylor’s cellars, some of which have been concentrating since before the Second World War!!!
Adrian Bridge, managing director of Taylor’s, said of the launch: “Drawn from Taylor’s treasury of very very old cask-aged reserves, this VVOP confirms Taylor’s place as a leader in the production of the finest cask aged Ports of great age.”
He adds: “We are delighted to be able to share with port lovers world-wide this masterpiece of cask ageing.”
1 of only 3,000 bottles produced.
This is absolutely sublime and I was lucky enough to get to taste with the wonderful Chris Forbes.
Packed full of fig, dried prunes, chocolate, soft licorice, with this slightly savoury backdrop of celery salt and a umami meatiness
Such a special wine!
ps: we cannot ship this, it’s too precious!
