Dark cherry red in colour. The bouquet shows intense fruit (black cherry) with notes of spices (black pepper) and dried fruit (dried figs). Firm, velvety, fleshy, with ripe, wonderfully elegant tannins on the finish.
Bodegas Torres is a family business that was founded in 1870 by Jaime and Miguel Torres Vendrell, and that has had several generations dedicated to the production of wine and brandy in Penedés. Currently, Bodegas Torres produces wines in many wine regions of the world. In Spain, it has 4 wineries of its own, in 4 other denominations of origin, Penedés, Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Priorat.
In 2005 the Torres family decided to establish its winery in the municipality of Labastida, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Altos Ibéricos takes its name from Alto Otero, where the winery is located
