Description
Superb mature nose still showing some blackcurrant aromas, but also cedary character of mature cabernet. The palate has cabernet austerity, a fine dry palate and long lingering dry tannins. Aged for 24 months in small French barrells.
This is a truly home-grown wine, with the fruit sourced from a single vineyard surrounding our homestead in Sevenhill. The vines were planted in 1982 and the land, formerly an orchard, has harvested fruit for more than 100 years. The soils are deep seated but not rich, having been planted and farmed for generations
