Description
Malleolus, the wine that redefined a new beginning. Malleolus is a historic wine with deep roots whose elegant personality is characterised by a perfect balance between maturity and freshness.
Malleolus spends approximately 18 days macerating with its skins and undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks before ageing in French oak barrels.
Most of the barrels used are 500-litre barrels, which provide a very even balance of tannin and oxygen to the wine.
A very deep cherry red in colour, ripe black fruit and the resinous notes of cedar and tobacco come to the fore in the bouquet, expressing their intensity and complexity with time and developing spiced notes like cloves, without loss of character of its fruity expression. On the palate it is powerful, structured and intense, with great balance and a gentle but intense mouthfeel.
