Description
Domaine Matrot – family domaine since 1835, one of the oldest estate-bottlers in Burgundy
and one of the most important properties in Meursault.
Owned by Thierry Matrot and his wife Pascale
the Domaine has some of the finest vineyards in the heart of Burgundy.
The average age of the vines is an impressive 30+ years and have been farmed organically since 2000.
Straw yellow in colour. The nose is everything you’d expect from a Meursault of this quality.
Lemon verbena, fresh pineapple and citrus fruit on the nose which carries through in a more muted version on the palate. Lots of minerality on the finish.
Drink now or lay down for up to 15 years.
Best drunk with shell fish & white soft cheeses.
