Description
Pale yellow in colour, this wine is still young, with aromas of ripe, green apple on the nose, with hints of citrus. There are also hints of vanillin which derive from the partial ageing in new and used oak barrels. The palate is fresh, fruity (apple and white currants) and complex with mineral overtones. There is evidence of toast deriving from the oak-ageing although the overall impression is one of youthful acidity and fruitiness. Perfect for drinking now.
Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on the family estate in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits near Premeaux Prissey, The philosophy of the family is to avoid synthetic chemicals and use natural products instead. The aim of the family is to produce full, expressive wines which benefit from 12 to 18 months ageing in French oak barrels.
