Fruit for the Serra da Estrela Albariño is sourced from pergola-grown fruit in the O Rosal area of southern Galicia to produce this fresh and vibrant white wine. It is there, near the border with Portugal, Galicia’s indigenous grape Albariño displays the intense minerality and zesty apricot and citrus character that makes this such a popular grape variety. This wine is the ideal partner for seafood caught in the wide, low river estuaries – or Rías Baixas – after which the region is named. Serra da Estrela is a young wine that expresses the Albariño grape in all its glory. Straw yellow in colour it displays delicate fruit aromas, freshness and complexity to the nose. The palate is vibrant, fresh and long.
Ruth says “amazing value Albarino, fresh and zingy.”
