100% Montepulciano

A deeply rewarding, structured, and muscular flagship red that showcases the serious, age-worthy side of Abruzzo winemaking. Sourced from low-yielding hillside vineyards and aged for up to 18 to 24 months in fine oak barrels, this 2020 Riserva boasts an exceptional concentration of flavour.

It pours an intense, opaque ruby-red colour with deep purple reflections. The nose is highly complex and broad, opening with an attractive bouquet of over-ripe black cherries, dark plums, and wild blackberries, beautifully layered with secondary notes of dark chocolate, leather, tobacco leaf, and sweet oak spices like vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, it is full-bodied, robust, and velvety smooth. A rich, fleshy core of dark forest fruits runs over firm, well-integrated tannins, balanced by a lively fruit acidity that keeps the grand structure feeling fresh, carrying into an exceptionally long, warming, and spicy finish.
