On the palate, it is dense, full-bodied, and remarkably velvety. The unctuous mouthfeel carries concentrated black fruit profiles balanced by a fresh, food-friendly acidity and tight, beautifully polished tannins that build into a long, warming, and intensely spicy finish with a lingering touch of white pepper and graphite minerality.

It pours a deep, radiant cherry-red color. The highly expressive, clear-headed nose opens with intense aromas of wild blackberries, ripe plums, and fresh strawberries, seamlessly woven into sophisticated layers of fine leather, damp earth, and wild herbs. On the palate, it balances impressive strength with a graceful, fluid agility. The fleshy core of bramble fruits is supported by well-rounded, velvety tannins and a lively vein of acidity, leading into a long, persistent, and subtly spiced mineral finish.

Bodegas Arrocal is a family-run winery nestled in Gumiel de Mercado, a charming village in the D.O. Ribera del Duero. Owned by Rosa Arroyo and Moisés Calvo, both locals with deep roots in the region, the winery was established in 1999. The nose is wonderfully expressive, opening with pure, intense aromas of wild blackberries, ripe red plums, and dark cherries, elegantly woven with dried Mediterranean herbs (like local wild thyme), subtle pipe tobacco, and a delicate touch of roasted cacao. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied, remarkably elegant, and open. Layers of crunchy dark forest fruits match perfectly with soft, finely-woven tannins and a refreshing vein of balancing acidity, resolving into a long, focused finish highlighted by a classic touch of chalky minerality

Crafted by the legendary winemaking team behind Rioja's Bodegas Roda"Corimbo I" is a masterclass in modern, elegant Ribera del Duero power. Sourced from highly select, low-yielding old plots, the 2016 vintage underwent spontaneous fermentation in French oak vats followed by 16 months of aging in premium barriques (80% French, 20% American oak)

It pours an intense, brilliant cherry red with a dark crimson core. The deeply complex nose reveals layered aromas of sun-ripened black cherries, wild blackberries, and plums, intricately woven with mineral undertones, dark chocolate, fresh mint, and sweet baking spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, voluminous, and remarkably refined. Plump dark forest fruit profiles are structured beautifully by an energetic, crisp vein of acidity and perfectly polished, fine-grained velvety tannins. It finishes exceptionally long and savory, accented by notes of cedarwood, crushed limestone, and lingering spices

Emilio Moro displays ripe blackberry and plum aromas with hints of vanilla, cocoa, and subtle spice from oak ageing. Crafted by the iconic winemaker Telmo Rodríguez, Remelluri is highly revered as the first single-estate property of modern Rioja. Sourced entirely from historic, high-altitude vineyards tucked against the Sierra de Toloño mountains, this 2017 Reserva was aged for 21 months in French oak barrels. It effortlessly trades jammy, over-oaked commercialism for incredible classical structure and mountain-fresh elegance.

It pours a deep black-cherry colour with a vibrant garnet rim. The complex nose opens with an earthy, profound bouquet of wild blackberries, dried plums, and dark cherries, intricately layered with complex notes of fine leather, cedarwood, pipe tobacco, and crushed limestone. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied, muscular, and beautifully velvety. Deep dark forest fruits match perfectly with tight, fine-grained tannins and a refreshing vein of high-altitude acidity, leading into an exceptionally long, savory finish highlighted by sweet baking spices and a distinct stony minerality.

The nose is aromatic and highly inviting, bursting with a fragrant bouquet of fresh red berries, wild strawberries, and morello cherries, lifted by delicate floral hints and a light touch of balsamic aroma. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, remarkably fresh, and velvety smooth.
